Is it good to charge your mobile upto 100% daily?

If you are a smartphone user and interested to know whether charging mobile upto its full capacity is good or bad, then this post is just for you.

According to research on Lithium Ion batteries which are generally used in smartphones, these type of batteries performs best when they are on low stress.

That means every time we try to charge our mobile upto 100 percent, we are applying full stress which reduce its life span. Every Li-ion battery comes with some standard life span cycles in between 300 to 500 cycles.

It performs best when we keep the charge in between 25 to 90 percent.

The rule that full charge dramatically extends your battery life span holds good on nickel batteries which are not used nowadays on smartphones.

Nowadays smartphones generally uses Li-ion or Li polymer batteries and for these batteries charging upto 100 percent is not necessary to extend battery life. In fact it causes battery heat and some stress which will in turn reduce its ability to hold full charge day by day.

So charge it around 90 percent or in any range over 75 percent to below maximum so that its life span can be increased upto some extent.

Hope this info is useful for every smartphone user. This tip even applies to laptop batteries as well.
